PARENT'S RIGHTS REGARDING REFERRAL AND EVALUATION

PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The Saranac Central School District is seeking volunteers to serve as parent members on the Committee on Special Education. Parent volunteers must have a child with a disability being educated in the Saranac Central School District. Volunteers must reside in the District and be available during the school day to attend District Committee on Special Education meetings. If interested, please contact Shannon Nephew at the Saranac Middle School office at 518-565-5725.

SARANAC SCHOOL: STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES

The Saranac Central School District is interested in locating any children with a disability that live within the District and have not been previously identified.

The District is responsible for maintaining a roster of all disabled children from birth through age 21. The roster ensures that appropriate services are provided, as well as assisting with staffing and funding for needed programs.
